Since the spring of 2023, the General Electric (GE) factory at Montoir de Bretagne has started exporting its giant Haliade X nacelles, which will be equipping various offshore wind farms worldwide. Sogebras is charged with coordinating the handling operations for these outsize cargo consignments.

On 14th November, Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port’s Marketing Directorate went to present the Port Authority’s activities and way of functioning to young people studying for an advanced vocational diploma in transport and logistics or for an advanced vocational diploma in maritime and air transport at AFTRAL Training School.

Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port is adding a new brick to the structure for the deployment of renewable energy, and is thereby helping to ramp up energy transition in the industrial and port activity zone on the Loire Estuary. In late 2022, Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port issued a call for expressions of interest for the production of hydrogen in the Port Authority area. The Management Board has just chosen Lhyfe to set up a renewable hydrogen industrial production and distribution unit at the Montoir de Bretagne port facility.

On Monday, 9th October, the port promotion collective held an evening event to open the new season. 220 people, public- and private-sector stakeholders from the port and maritime world and from the Regional Community, assembled at Quai du Commerce in Saint Nazaire to mark the first year of existence of the Oportunity initiative. This was the occasion also to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Montoir‒Vigo shipping service!

On 10th October, at Idea Groupe’s premises at Montoir de Bretagne, the Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique Brittany-Atlantic Region Maritime Cluster (PMBA) held a BlueEvent on the topic of "The Technical Issues and Challenges in the Life of a Container".
