For a few weeks now, the oportunity.fr website showcases the port promotion collective and its missions and sectors of activity, and presents its made-to-measure service offer for businesses.

As part of Oportunity, Greater Western France’s port promotion collective, Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port and its Port Community partners took part in two major events in June: Breakbulk Europe and Seanergy.

In April and May, Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port took part in three major European events dedicated to the future development of the offshore wind power sector.

The second edition of the Wind for Goods Trade Show, of which Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port is a partner, is taking place on 1st and 2nd June in Saint Nazaire. This gathering dedicated to wind-powered transportation supports the growing momentum of this sector of activity, while at the same time emphasizing the advantages of the Loire Estuary ecosystem. Held at a location at the heart of the Regional Community, it brings together players in the decarbonization of transportation by sea.

How do you get all the local sail-powered transportation players to join forces in building a sustainable, efficient industrial tool? Lise Detrimont, Managing Director of Wind Ship, provides some answers. Alongside technological research institute IRT Jules-Verne, this Association is co-piloting a major feasibility study that focusses on how the French sail power sector can best be structured.

On 25th May, following their annual general meeting, some twenty members of the Pays de la Loire Regional Transport and Mobility Research Institute (ORTM) visited Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port’s installations.
