Appointed by Presidential Decree dated 19th April 2024, Jean-Rémy Villageois officially took up his post as Chair of the Management Board of Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port on Monday, 29th April 2024.

On 23rd May, at the Digital SPi coworking space in Saint Nazaire, the Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique Brittany-Atlantic Region Maritime Cluster, in partnership with S2E2 and SMILE ‒ Smart Ideas to Link Energies, held a BlueDay event on the theme "Renewable Energy and Smart Grids in Port Activity Zones". This event has been awarded the " Springtime for Innovation" label by Pays de la Loire Regional Authority.

The 2024 Breakbulk Europe Trade Show was held from 21st to 23rd May in Rotterdam. The partners in Oportunity, Greater Western France’s port promotion collective, came together on a joint stand.

The key international trade show dedicated to the forest products sector close its doors on last 30th May in Nantes, at the Parc-Expo de la Beaujoire Exhibition Centre’s XXL exhibition hall. Held this year from 28th to 30th May. The port partners in Oportunity attended with a stand.

With the requirements for the large-scale deployment of floating wind power in view, Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port has identified offshore wind power generation as an essential growth driver in its future development. Through the ÉOLE Project, Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port is seeking to place at the disposal of the offshore sector an industrial integration base for fixed-foundation and floating wind turbines.

Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port was in Toulon on 27th and 28th March for the HyPorts Business Convention. Attended by nearly 500 participants, this annual gathering is dedicated to the hydrogen sector in the maritime environment. The topics discussed this year included France’s H2 strategy, e-fuels, and hydrogen production at sea using offshore wind power.
