Since 3 March, work has been underway to construct a cycle path along Avenue de la Prise d'eau and Avenue de Chatonay in Saint-Nazaire, between Gate 17 of the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard and the Form Joubert.

From October 6 to 9, 2025, Nantes Saint-Nazaire Port took part in a mission to Italy led by the Pays de la Loire Region, aimed at supporting the development of marine renewable energies (MRE).

After a first call on 12th October at the Montoir de Bretagne ro-ro terminal, part of Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port, the vessel’s home port, the Neoliner Origin put in at Nantes for her christening ceremony.

The Saint Nazaire area is one of Europe’s most powerful and diversified industrial hubs. Centring today around Chantiers de l’Atlantique, Airbus, Vinci, Everllence and Siemens Gamesa for the Îles d’Yeu et de Noirmoutier offshore wind farm, or previously around General Electric with the Saint Nazaire offshore wind farm, a complete ecosystem of high value-added industrial and port-based production and logistics has been structured. This oversized cargo logistics took centre stage at Oportunity’s season-opening event in Saint Nazaire on 9th October.

Faced with geopolitical, economic and climate-related challenges, Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port is undergoing profound changes. 2024 notably highlights the urgent necessity to ramp up the transformation of its economic model and the efficiency of its operations.

From 16th to 30th September, the Panamax vessel Wadi Alkarnak, a 225-metre-long bulk carrier, put in at Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port.
