The mission of the Vole au Vent is to convey and to install the 61 wind turbines destined for the EMYN Îles d’Yeu et de Noirmoutier offshore wind farm. With each rotation, the vessel transports 4 complete wind turbines, namely 12 blades, 4 towers and 4 nacelles.

The Saint Nazaire dry docks have passed a key milestone with the arrival of a modern 25-tonne tower crane. More efficient and more mobile, this piece of equipment redefines the landscape of the ship repair yard and improves its operational capabilities.

A free service provided by Loire Atlantique Departmental Authority, the Loire ferries carry around 2.3 million passengers every year on two routes between Couëron and Le Pellerin, and between Basse-Indre and Indret. The two ferries that operate these links, the Lola and the L'Île Dumet, are dry-docked every year for inspections to be conducted and for any maintenance operations as may be required.
