Meetings in Nantes and Saint Nazaire Regarding the Éole Project
Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port is continuing the studies relating to the Éole project ‒ the platform for assembling the offshore wind turbines of the future in Saint Nazaire ‒ and is sharing updates on its progress in two segments.
A Monitoring Committee to Guide the Next Steps
The third meeting of the Éole project monitoring committee was held on 8th October at the headquarters of Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port, under the aegis of the French National Public Debate Commission (CNDP). The meeting brought together representatives from local government, the business community, environmental interest groups, local residents’ associations, and trade union organizations.
The meeting focussed on the latest developments in the offshore wind power sector, the technical improvements to the project, the progress of the environmental studies, and the next steps in the environmental authorization proceedings and in the ongoing public consultation process.
An Information and Discussion Session
As part of the ongoing consultation concerning the Éole project, and relating specifically to the environmental studies, an information and discussion session will be held at the Agora 1901 Community Centre in Saint Nazaire, from 6.30 p.m. on 26th November.
Participants will be able to find out about the progress of the project and the studies that have been carried out, to gain a better understanding of the main environmental issues that have been identified, and to speak directly with the project team.
Attendance is free but subject to available seat capacity, and registration is required by 20th November. To register for the public briefing, click HERE
