Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port at the Gathering of Europe’s Offshore Wind Power Sector

Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port was among the participants attending the WindEnergy Hamburg Trade Show, which took place from 22nd to 25th September. This event is one of Europe’s leading gatherings dedicated to offshore wind power. This trip provided an opportunity to meet numerous players in the sector and to discuss the development prospects of this rapidly growing industry.

Through a series of encounters, WindEnergy Hamburg also provided the chance to find out more about the latest technological advances, both in terms of new generations of offshore wind turbines and of the specialist vessels used in the installation and maintenance of offshore wind farms.

Alongside the event, Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port took part in the annual general meeting of the Offshore Wind Alliance, a network bringing together the main European ports involved in the development of offshore wind power. These exchanges help to strengthen cooperation between ports and to consolidate Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire’s position as a major player in maritime and industrial energy transition in Europe.
