On 17th and 18th June, Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port took part in Seanergy, the leading international event dedicated to offshore renewable energy, which was held this year in Paris. This event offered a great opportunity to showcase the ongoing operations for the installation of the Loire Estuary’s second offshore wind farm, led by EMYN, as well as to present the Éole project for the creation of a dedicated industrial integration base for fixed-foundation and floating wind turbines in Saint Nazaire.

At the conference entitled "Accommodating the Future: How to build ideal offshore operations ports for the renewable energy sector", Jean-Rémy Villageois, Chair of Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port’s Management Board, emphasized the importance of adapting port infrastructures to support the sustainable development of marine renewable energy. He remarked that "We have the know-how here on the Loire Estuary, and we are mobilizing an entire community to rise to the challenges posed by these transformations around renewable energy."

The trade show also highlighted the collective expertise of the Port Community, which is fully engaged in the process of constructing the Îles d’Yeu et de Noirmoutier offshore wind farm.

Finally, a segment dedicated to the Éole project in Saint Nazaire provided an opportunity to look to the future, with presentations by project manager Philippe Léon and by Hugo Khün, Vice-Chair of the Néopolia Network’s MRE cluster, who spoke about this innovative assembly platform for the floating offshore wind turbines of tomorrow.
