Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port Selects the Giboire Group for its Nantes Project

The Giboire Group has submitted the winning proposal following the call for expressions of interest issued by Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port in 2022 for the redevelopment of Quai Marquis d'Aiguillon quay and the construction of a property development programme on the site of Shed 12.

The signing on 17th September of the preliminary agreement granting temporary occupancy of the port area marked the start of this new phase in the redevelopment of the Bas-Chantenay District of the City. Through this project, Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port, as a developer, is playing a key role in the major urban transformation projects being carried out by Nantes Metropolitan District Council.

Christened "L’Escale" ("Port of Call"), this project will create continuity between the different focal points of the neighbourhood, from Butte Sainte-Anne to the Jardin Extraordinaire Garden. In place of the current Shed 12, a mixed-use development will be completed by 2033. The work on this real estate programme will be preceded by the renovation of Quai Marquis d’Aiguillon quay.
