Nantes − Saint Nazaire Port Presents its Offers in Europe

12 February 2020

From 4th to 6th February, Nantes − Saint Nazaire Port’s teams simultaneously took part in an international conference and in two international trade shows, in order to present the port-based, logistical and industrial offers available.

In Marseille, following three editions held previously in Paris, in the Néopolia exhibitor space on the Pays de la Loire Regional Authority stand at the Euromaritime Trade Show devoted to maritime and inland waterway blue growth, Nantes − Saint Nazaire Port highlighted the possibilities for developing industrial and maritime activities. With the dock basins, the Joubert sluice dock, and the future zone for the pre-assembly of offshore wind turbines, the Saint Nazaire port facility is able to accommodate new activities deriving notably from the MRE and building and civil engineering sectors.

In Berlin, at the Fruit Logistica Trade Show, Nantes − Saint Nazaire Port was on the stand of IDfel Val de Loire, the association that brings together economic operators in the fruit and vegetables sector based in the Greater Loire Valley − North Loire Basin. This event offered the sales teams the chance to meet with partners, including shipping lines, shippers and freight forwarders, and to review developments both in the sectors concerned and in the logistics and transport service offer. The aim was to assist customers in regard to the solutions put in place at Nantes – Saint Nazaire for products that are subject to inspection, notably by presenting the one-stop facility for regulatory requirements, which since October 2019 now accommodates the inspection services charged with carrying out checks on cargo consignments arriving from non-EU countries.

And lastly in Barcelona, within the framework of Nantes − Saint Nazaire Port’s membership of Europe’s automotive logistics network organization, European Car Group, a maritime and ports workshop represented the opportunity for logistics providers, manufacturers, shipping lines and ports to discuss recent developments in the sector. Nantes − Saint Nazaire Port has been a member of the European Car Group Association since 2017. This organization brings together ro-ro operators and the ports that receive them, logistics specialists, but also service providers in the supply chain relating to new and second-hand vehicle traffic.
