A Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port Delegation in Lisbon
An all-female delegation represented Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port at the IACP World Conference on Cities and Ports from 26th to 29th November: Sophie Cochard-Quesson, Director of Planning and Development, Environment and Real-Estate Assets, Katell Cornec-Lepage, Strategy Officer with responsibility for city-port relations, and Emilie Chefdor, Communication Officer with responsibility for the Port Center project.
A packed programme with more than 50 contributors united around a common goal that is driven by the IACP: "Connecting Cities and Ports for a Sustainable Future". These discussions will notably enable Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port to enhance its teams’ knowledge and understanding of certain subjects, to share views on common issues with other port cities, and to take learnings from successes and impactful initiatives.
In the context of the future Port Center project, it is also an opportunity to exchange feedback with other participants and to draw inspiration from innovative practices that can be adapted to the estuarine environment.
The delegation also included David Samzun and Guillaume Saupin from Saint Nazaire Urban Area District Authority, and Sophie Minssart and Pierre Vionnet, representing ADDRN, the urban planning agency for the Saint Nazaire area.
