Greater Western France’s Port Promotion Collective OPORTUNITY is Coming to Meet You in Laval!
On 9th March, at the Laval Chamber of Commerce and Industry Headquarters, professionals from Greater Western France’s port promotion collective united under the OPORTUNITY banner are inviting firms and companies in the Department of Mayenne to find out more about the port services and logistics offer available at Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire.
OPORTUNITY’s membership includes Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port, Nantes Ports Maritime Union (UMNP), the Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Pays de la Loire Regional Authority, Saint Nazaire Urban Area District Authority, Nantes Metropolitan District Council, and Loire Atlantique Departmental Authority. Together, their ambition is to conquer new markets, to find new trading partners, to create service chains, and to develop new business and new employment.
Responsible, Made-to-Measure Solutions
Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire’s port promotion initiative enables the professionals involved to make the port services and logistics offer visible, to demonstrate agility and to take up, together, the challenge of energy transition. They wish to deliver the best possible solution to regional, national and international customers, by proposing made-to-measure service offers to the businesses concerned.
Gathering in Laval
After a first visit to Angers in December of last year, OPORTUNITY has chosen Laval for its second roadshow, so as to be able to spend time talking to businesses and shippers in the Department of Mayenne. OPORTUNITY must serve to identify Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire as the natural maritime gateway for incoming and outgoing shipments for an agricultural cooperative in Mayenne in Greater Western France, just as for an industrial company in the State of Alabama that has links with the French market...
The programme includes:
• a conference by Alexandre Lavissière, a Professor at KEDGE Business School, on the topic: "The Port Ecosystem: Between Business Network and Facilitation";
• a roundtable discussion with testimonies from businesses and transport firms in the Department of Mayenne and from Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port: "The Port of Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire: A Tool Serving Firms and Companies in Greater Western France";
• exchanges in the course of business meetings, to find out more about responsible, made-to-measure solutions for international operations.
