Formation TrainForTrade : Inter-port Cooperation
Every two years since 2012, Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port has been involved with UNCTAD in the TrainForTrade programme, an international capacity-building programme for port communities in developing countries, particularly in Africa.
From 2 to 12 June, around forty port managers from Mauritania, Senegal, Guinea, Togo, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Gabon were welcomed at the port of Nantes Saint-Nazaire. These courses aim to strengthen the efficiency and competitiveness of port management, thus contributing to the socio-economic development of their countries.
On the program, exchanges and feedback with about ten port experts from Nantes Saint-Nazaire Port.
A session marked by rich exchanges with about ten port experts from Nantes Saint-Nazaire Port, promoting the sharing of experiences, the enhancement of field realities and the strengthening of cooperation between ports. This dynamic fully illustrates the strength of a network based on committed women and men.
The challenge now: to keep this network alive over the long term, continue exchanges, and continue to co-build solutions adapted to the common realities of each port area.
