Nantes Saint-Nazaire Port accueille l’assemblée générale Feedsim Avenir à Nantes
A long-standing partner of the animal feed sector, in its role as the leading cross-industry network Feedsim Avenir brought together in Nantes on 2nd October all the stakeholders in the sector: feed manufacturers, raw material suppliers, traders, carriers and service providers.
Against a backdrop of far-reaching changes in international trade, shifts in agricultural policy and debates surrounding trade agreements, discussions centred on issues of food sovereignty, security of supply and the competitiveness of the individual sectors concerned. In this context, Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port reaffirms its role as a vital link in the French supply chain for agricultural raw materials.
As the leading port on France’s Atlantic Seaboard for the import of proteins used in animal feed, Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port contributes directly to supplying the national agricultural and agri-food sectors. Thanks to the port infrastructures at Montoir de Bretagne, which are capable of accommodating the largest vessels on the market, the Port offers an efficient, competitive and resilient logistics solution. This capability is a major asset in ensuring the continuity of supplies and strengthening the Regional Community’s food sovereignty.
In 2025, nearly 2.3 million tonnes of oilseeds and oilcakes passed through its facilities.
