CMA CGM Optimizes its Service to West Africa

CMA CGM optimise son service vers l'Afrique de l'OuestIn order to best meet the requirements of its African and European customers, the CMA CGM Group has deployed new vessels on its weekly Euraf 1 service outbound from Europe to West Africa. The vessels concerned call at Montoir de Bretagne every Tuesday before departing the following day. They provide a direct service to the Ports of Tangiers, Dakar and Abidjan. CMA CGM - Delmas B/L cargo consignments thereby benefit from the best transit times in the market.

The vessels deployed by the French Group are the 3 091 TEU capacity Em Kea, the 3 430 TEU capacity Celina Star and Dimitris C, the 3 768 TEU capacity HS Berlioz and the 3 534 TEU capacity Praia and Circular Quay. The transit times departing from Montoir are as follows: 3 days to Tangiers, 9 days to Dakar and 15 days to Abidjan. With transhipment via Tangiers: 15 days to Lomé, 16 days to Nouakchott and Tin Can, 19 days to Cotonou, 22 days to Conakry, Tema and Pointe Noire, 24 days to Port Gentil and 27 days to Libreville.

A Port Community mission will be organized to the West Coast of Africa in the autumn, in order to promote the Loire Estuary port of call with local decision-makers and to identify potential avenues for development. A preparatory meeting is being held on 11th June. To obtain more information, please contact Maryse Gérard, the Head of the Sales Department.
