The Seanergy Trade Show, which took place in Nantes on 19th and 20th May, is the annual gathering for the offshore renewable energy industry. Teams from Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port were in attendance.

At the end of April, the 61st and final wind turbine for the Îles d’Yeu et de Noirmoutier offshore wind farm (EMYN) was installed at sea. Here’s a look back at the port-based logistics involved in the construction of this wind farm, which was completed with the very last rotation of the Vole au Vent on 10th April.

At the Seanergy Trade Show, which was held in Nantes on 19th and 20th May, Jean-Rémy Villageois, Chair of the Management Board of Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port, Jérôme Hilt, Project Director, and Christophe Perrin, Technical Director at Pennavel, signed an agreement in principle on 19th May regarding the project to site a floating offshore wind farm facility off the coast of Southern Brittany.

On 16th April, ro-ro pontoon N° 3 was detached from its gangway and moored at general cargo and container terminal berth N° 5 at Montoir de Bretagne, prior to its transfer to the docks in Saint Nazaire. In early May, it was then moved to the Joubert sluice dock, where the teams carried out the blocking work and dry docking operations in preparation for its maintenance turnaround, which began in mid-May.

Building on the momentum generated by an initial Call for Expressions of Interest (CEI) for the redevelopment of the Quai Marquis d’Aiguillon quay, Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port is embarking on a new flagship project with the launch of a CEI for the regeneration of the upstream section of the Quai des Antilles quay, in the heart of the Île de Nantes district of the City.

The first sail-powered cruise liner built by the Chantiers de l’Atlantique Shipyard was inaugurated on 29th April, at the Joubert sluice dock in Saint Nazaire. The Orient Express Corinthian is the fruit of Chantiers de l’Atlantique’s expertise and of a project led by the Accor Group.
