Export of Recycled Wood Chips to Finland

From 18th to 21st May, at the Nantes Cheviré port facility, the bulk carrier M/V Lady Nona took on board 1 300 tonnes of wood chips on behalf of recycling company Brangeon Recyclage, in partnership with Sogebras. The vessel then set off for Hamina, in Finland.

Mid-June, a second vessel, the M/V Prima Lady, picked up an identical 1 650-tonne cargo consignment for the same destination. The loading operations were handled by Nantes Manutention, using the port installations operated by Nantes Port Terminal (NPT). A third vessel is expected early in August.

These port calls demonstrate once again the know-how possessed by local players in the recycling sector and the significant role played by Nantes − Saint Nazaire Port in the promotion and the perpetuation of a circular economy.
