Le Carnet Heralds the Arrival of Eco-Technologies

  • 390 hectares of land reserves
  • 100 hectares available for the creation of an eco-technology park

A site offering considerable potential, Le Carnet is part of the Communauté de Communes Sud Estuaire and extends over 300 hectares of land reserves beside the River Loire. Its proximity to the Port’s existing installations, notably those in Saint Nazaire, makes it a very attractive zone.

The Nantes – Saint Nazaire Port Authority wishes to encourage the emergence of new sectors of activity. An advanced project relates to the development of a 100-hectare area of the site and the creation of an eco-technology park centering around renewable marine energies. The construction of the future facility will be accompanied by measures to reclassify and to manage the site’s natural areas.

The leading port for the handling of land-based wind turbines, the Nantes - Saint Nazaire Port Authority is currently working alongside the Region’s industrialists and stakeholders on projects to develop offshore wind energy in the Pays de la Loire Region.
