Octra Opens an Agency at Montoir de Bretagne

In May, Octra, a French transport services and engineering company with its headquarters in Paris, opened a new agency at Montoir de Bretagne, headed by David Kerbrat.

The agency is notably charged with developing projects relating to marine renewable energy (MRE) on France’s entire western seaboard. Responsible for the Cherbourg/Bordeaux range, this division now covers the lifting and handling activities in an integrated manner, since the Octra agency has been tasked with officially representing in this geographical zone Dufour and Scales, two of the major operators for MRE logistics.

Moreover, the agency has recently acquired a new SPMT Split trailer for the transportation of Alstom nacelles between the Montoir de Bretagne factory and the Joubert dock in Saint Nazaire, prior to shipment to the USA.

"The purpose of this commercial and operational representation is to cover the offshore renewable energy sector, the port activity sector and the shipbuilding sector," explains David Kerbrat.
