Boluda Gets a New Tugboat

Un nouveau remorqueur chez BoludaOn 15th December, the vessel DA DE, arriving from Vietnam, unloaded two tugboats at the docks in Saint Nazaire. The first tugboat, the VB Cyclone, is for delivery to the Boluda station at the Port of Dunkirk; once the crews have been trained, the second of the tugboats, the VB Ouragan, will be joining the fleet operated by Boluda out of Saint Nazaire.

The new tugboats have a towing capacity of 70 tonnes, a total weight of 520 tonnes and measure 30 metres in length. They were built by the Piriou Shipyard, at Ben Luc in Vietnam. The VB Ouragan is intended to replace the VB Bretagne.

Sogebras was charged with the ship’s agent services, transit and customs operations, while Atlantique Manutention took care of the port-based handling operations at Montoir de Bretagne.
