Nantes-Saint Nazaire Port Meets with FWI Firms

From 7th to 14th January, a delegation from the Ports of Nantes − Saint Nazaire and Dunkirk paid a visit to Guadeloupe and Martinique. This joint initiative served to propose to French West Indies customers a complete offer placing Nantes − Saint Nazaire Port as the last port of export and Dunkirk as the first port of import for the French market.

The purpose of the visit was to offer competitive solutions for the different logistical circuits of the customers present in the two hinterlands.

This joint offer makes the most of local know-how and also makes it possible to propose specialized, made-to-measure services while benefitting from the best transit times between the French West Indies and Metropolitan France, and for the Caribbean Zone as a whole.

In this way, each Port was able to promote its own specificities for handling given types of cargo, and notably in the case of Nantes − Saint Nazaire Port, agri-foodstuffs, fruit, manufactured goods, consolidated cargo or products intended for recycling (scrap metal, tyres, plastics, batteries, etc.).
