Montoir–Tangiers Direct

In the past few days, a link has been put in place between the Montoir de Bretagne ro-ro terminal and the Moroccan Port of Tangiers. Provided by Fret Cetam, a subsidiary of Louis Dreyfus Armateurs and Leif Höegh, the Milk Run Med service has just started its trial phase and will come into operation from September.

The Milk Run Med service covering Montoir de Bretagne, Pauillac, Tunis, Naples and Cádiz was launched in 2012, to enable European aircraft manufacturer Airbus to connect its different production and assembly facilities. The service is operated by the ro-ro vessels Ville de Bordeaux and Bore Sea. These vessels transport all types of ro-ro freight, including cars, tractors, agricultural and construction machinery and trailers, but also breakbulk cargo such as project cargo, boxes, oversized consignments and containers.

An Extended Offer
Fret Cetam has decided to add another call to the initial rotation. Montoir de Bretagne is now directly connected to Tangiers both for import and for export operations. With this new extended offer, Nantes ‒ Saint Nazaire Port confirms its position as a gateway for cargo inbound from Southern Europe and outbound to the North-West Corridor. Furthermore, the service also proposes inter-Mediterranean connections. As the agent representing Fret Cetam, IDEA Groupe is responsible for marketing the Milk Run Med service, which calls at Montoir de Bretagne every Thursday.
